Mores is an artwork by Marijn Bax. Mores is an installation in Museum van Loon, in which she examines the blurring of boundaries between up- and downstairs in the Van Loon household 1900. Bax researches whether there were places or moments that created a neutral space between family and their staff.

I was asked to create a musical piece for two female voices on one of the spots within the installation. I tried to find a sound where the two voices experience torment and intimacy together. My piece is played in the “open bird cage” that stands for the fact that both Thora van Loon and her servants where trapped within their own roles.

To be seen and heard from Dec 20 2018 until Jan 14 2019.
